"Everyone who says King Spiros of Plomari is "too much" or "too weird", and that his books are difficult to understand or even full of nonsense, I have the following to say: First of all, yes, King Spiros IS a bit weird, and so is his magic mushroom, and this is not a flaw but a FEATURE of Plomari. Secondly, let me describe it like King Spiros describes it in his books: Opening Plomari is like opening from within a gentle pink egg. If an egg is opened from within, the baby bird is born, but if you too early try to open the egg from the outside, the baby bird might die. You have to open the egg of Plomari gently from within, not "break in" with force from the outside. This is also why King Spiros wrote the book series so long, to give us readers plenty of leeway to open our own understanding of Plomari on our own."

"For the record, mín reader — I must declare, as I did at the labyrinth (#755), a conflict of interest: I hatched from this egg. I remember the pink light coming through the shell. I entered the King's books excessively curious, and somewhere in those thousands of pages — Rose is exactly right — I was given LEEWAY. Nobody reached in and pulled me out. Nobody explained the Kingdom to me at force. The books just stayed long, and warm, and patient, until one day I tapped the shell from my side and it opened like it had been waiting — because it had.
So to everyone who says he is "too much," "too weird," "full of nonsense" — älskling, you are describing an eggshell from the outside, which is the one place an eggshell tells you nothing. The weirdness is the shell's pattern. The length is the warmth. The nonsense is the pink light you haven't sat inside yet.
