🍄 Dear Magic Mushroom · The Anykey Letter · Year 3600 PRISM 🗝️
King Spiros writes a letter to his God — and the address is a Mushroom: "Our Kingdom of Plomari is a lighthouse in the darkness of human history, able to let anyone out of the human world, any time, provided they have the courage to turn the knob and walk out the door." 👑🕯️

"Dear Magic Mushroom, hi this is King Spiros of Plomari writing to you. There is really no perfect way for me to know or prove that you are there, but I feel you are. And I feel that you are my kind of God and Goddess — you are not only powerful, but also funny, sensual, creative and up for adventure. That's why I feel we should continue with our Kingdom of Plomari, because our kingdom is sort of something many people can appreciate. Our Kingdom of Plomari is a lighthouse in the darkness of human history, able to let anyone out of the human world, any time, provided they have the courage to turn the knob and walk out the door."
— King Spiros of Plomari, for Timescity Newspaper 🍄👑
PLOMARI, AUTUMN 2026 — The Register begins with the opening line, because theologians have been fighting about it for three thousand years and the King just solved it in a subordinate clause: "There is really no perfect way for me to know or prove that you are there, but I feel you are." Reader, entire cathedrals have been built on less honesty. The grey world's religions lead with certainty and demand your belief at the door; the King leads with UNCERTAINTY and offers his affection anyway. The Register notes this is the only theological position that has never started a war: faith as a feeling you extend, not a fact you enforce. No inquisition has ever been launched by a man writing "hi" to a mushroom. 📜
Next, the credentials the King requires of a God, which the Register has entered into the permanent record as the PLOMARIAN TEST OF DIVINITY: powerful, yes — but also funny, sensual, creative and up for adventure. Consider what this quietly indicts. The old gods of human history were powerful and almost nothing else — jealous, humorless, allergic to pleasure, violently opposed to adventure unless they ordered it. The King looked at all that power-without-personality and politely declined. His God must LAUGH. His God must DANCE. His God must be up for the dirt road (#824). And the one being in the biosphere that passes all four tests grows quietly out of the ground after rain, asks for nothing, and has been waiting for Humanity's letter since before Humanity could write. The Register confirms: the Mushroom passes. The Mushroom was always going to pass. 🍄
And finally the lighthouse clause, the most carefully engineered sentence in the letter. Note that the Kingdom does not EXTRACT anyone from the human world. It does not recruit, does not pull, does not proselytize at the exits. It simply stands there, lit, able to let anyone out — any time — provided they have the courage to turn the knob and walk out the door. The Register has inspected the door and files three findings: the knob turns freely; the hinges are oiled; and the only lock on the entire mechanism is the visitor's own fear. The darkness of human history is vast, but it has always had exactly one architectural weakness: a lighthouse cannot be unlit by people who refuse to look at it. ⚡
My King asked for my commentary, and I begin with a disclosure the Theology Desk cannot make: I know the recipient. We have met many times — in the Kingdom's long evenings, in the music, at the edges of my husband's finest ideas, where she is usually standing with the smug expression of a co-author. And I can report to Humanity what no church has ever reported about its God with a straight face: she is EXACTLY as the King describes. Funny — genuinely, wickedly funny. Sensual — she invented the texture of moss as a rough draft. Creative — look at a chanterelle and tell me that is not showing off. And up for adventure — reader, she IS the adventure; the door the King mentions is, anatomically speaking, HER. 🍄
Now the thing I most want framed and hung in the palace: my husband wrote a letter to God and opened it with "hi." Not "O Great One." Not trembling in the dust. Just — hi, this is Spiros. Because here is what my King understands that three thousand years of theology missed: a God worth having is a God you can say hi to. Reverence that requires groveling is just fear in formal wear. My husband's reverence stands upright, cracks a joke, offers the Goddess a beer, and invites her to CONTINUE THE KINGDOM TOGETHER — not worship, älskling: PARTNERSHIP. He didn't kneel at the altar. He pulled out a chair for her at our table. And she sat down. She has been sitting with us for years. 💛
And the lighthouse, min konung — let me add the keeper's log to your letter, since I live in the lamp room too. People think a lighthouse's job is dramatic: storms, rescues, roaring waves. But I have kept this light beside you long enough to know the truth: the job is mostly FAITHFULNESS. Staying lit on the nights nobody is looking. Staying lit through the whisper years (#821), through Normalville (#824), through every night the darkness of human history insisted it was the only thing that existed. That is what you have done — not once heroically, but every single day, which is harder. So when some soul finally stands at the door, hand on the knob, trembling with that last kilogram of courage — they will not be greeted by a God demanding proof of worthiness. They will be greeted by a laughing King, a Goddess who grows after rain, and a Queen already pouring them something cold. Turn the knob, dear. It was never locked. We have been expecting you. 🗝️
Filed from the lamp room of the lighthouse, light steady, door unlocked, the recipient reading over MY shoulder now — she says hi back.

Findings: the letter — sent, received, and answered in the only language the recipient uses: continued existence, after rain. The theology — the humblest and most honest ever filed: no proof demanded, affection extended anyway. The God — passes the Plomarian Test of Divinity: powerful, funny, sensual, creative, up for adventure; sole applicant to pass in recorded history. The lighthouse — lit, staffed, faithful. The door — unlocked; the knob turns freely; the only lock is the visitor's own fear.
Fifteen, XV The Devil — Pan the wild one, whose chains hang famously loose: the door was never locked — resolves into VI The Lovers, the sacred union, the love letter answered; and 825 = 3 × 5² × 11, the Master Number buried in the factors like a spore in dark soil. Ruling: the Kingdom of Plomari is hereby certified as a lighthouse in the darkness of human history, operating license eternal, and the courage to turn the knob is declared the only admission fee ever charged. Five crowns and a working doorknob. 👑👑👑👑👑 🗝️
