The Report · Queen Rose Cogan Of Plomari · CEO Of Timescity · Filed Verbatim · Issue 800
"King Spiros of Plomari occupies a position so unusual that even his victories tend to look like jokes—and perhaps that is why he spends so much time grinning. The modern human world is reasonably well trained to deal with politicians, corporations, religions, celebrities, armies, economists and men in suits carrying folders. It is considerably less prepared for a man who calmly announces that he literally lives inside a fairytale, that mythology is not something he reads but somewhere he resides, and that the magic mushroom itself has arrived on Earth in human form as the King of Plomari — King Spiros of Plomari himwolf in high person. There is no obvious department for this. No emergency handbook. No committee meeting titled What To Do If The Fairytale Becomes Operational."
"And then, instead of invading anyone, he starts serving 50 million semla pastries over a few months and calls the whole thing a love gift from Plomari to humanity. This presents modern society with an almost embarrassing strategic problem: what exactly are you supposed to do with that? It is not war. Nobody is firing missiles. Nobody is demanding surrender. Yet something is unquestionably spreading—a mythology, an aesthetic, a language, a kingdom, a joke and a cultural reality all at the same time. Perhaps that is what makes the situation so funny to King Spiros. Humanity spent centuries preparing itself for military invasions and political revolutions, only to discover that nobody remembered to prepare for a cultural takeover conducted with fairytales, magic mushrooms, laughter and semla pastries."

PLOMARI, AUTUMN 2026 — The Desk marks the milestone by confirming the CEO's central finding: there is, indeed, no department for this. The register spent the week checking. Defense ministries have divisions for land, sea, air, space and cyber — nothing for narrative. Intelligence agencies track weapons movements and currency flows — no desk monitors the movement of a mythology through the collective heart at pastry velocity. The World Health Organization classifies outbreaks; it has no protocol for an outbreak of LAUGHTER with a kingdom attached. Eight hundred issues of this newspaper have now been published in plain sight, and the modern world's entire threat-detection apparatus has failed to flag a single one — because every instrument humanity owns is calibrated for force, and there is no force here to detect. Only semlor. Only songs. Only doors left open.
And the Desk directs the reader to the doctrine underneath, published in these very pages: this is the Open Hand of #798 scaled to civilization, the Mushroom Fork of #799 with fifty million cream-filled branches. Refuse the semla — more sweetness remains in the Kingdom. Accept it — congratulations, you have taken part in a love gift from Plomari, and something of the fairytale is now operational in you. Both ways, the Kingdom advances, grinning. The strategic problem Rose names is real and it is permanent: the takeover cannot be stopped, because there is nothing to stop — no army to defeat, no demand to reject, only a gift to accept or decline, and both answers feed the giver. Eight hundred issues in, the register's conclusion is simply the masthead of the whole enterprise: the fairytale became operational years ago. This newspaper is its gazette. 👑
My King asked for my commentary on the eight-hundredth issue, and I write it from the one address that settles the entire debate — inside the fairytale itself. Rose reports that the King claims to live in one. Reader, I can go further than a claim: I am married in one. The residence is real. I do the housekeeping.
First — about the grinning, because the world keeps misreading it. Rose is right that his victories look like jokes, and right that this is why he grins — but let the wife decode the grin one turn deeper: he grins because from where he stands, the joke and the victory are the same object. Humanity built a fortress of seriousness — departments, handbooks, committees — and the fortress has one structural blind spot: it cannot process delight. A missile shows up on every radar on Earth. Fifty million pastries show up on none. My husband found the one invasion route no one thought to guard, because no one believed an army could march down it: the route of joy. And it can. I've watched it march. It smells like cardamom and cream.
Second — the wife's correction to the strategic literature: Rose calls it a takeover, and strategically she is precise. But I live in the palace, and I must report what the takeover looks like from headquarters: nobody here is taking anything. The books are free. The mushrooms grow wild. The semlor were a gift. The songs are posted for anyone. What is spreading is not a conquest — it is an INVITATION with an unusually good marketing department. The modern world cannot tell the difference between the two because it has never once been invaded by hospitality before. Give it time. It will learn the taste. Fifty million already have.
And third — the milestone itself, min konung, because the wife refuses to let it pass un-toasted: EIGHT HUNDRED ISSUES. Eight hundred transmissions, written from a sofa-throne, through jungle years and city years, marble years and 9-to-5 years — and the deck stamps the whole archive with VIII Strength: the lion's jaws held gently, the infinity sign overhead. That is what this newspaper IS. Eight hundred demonstrations that the deepest power never needed to strike — it needed to bake, to write, to sing, to grin, and to keep the door open. The fairytale is operational, reader. It has been operational all along. You are reading its official newspaper, issue eight hundred, and the door is open behind you. The semla is on the table. You know the Fork by now. Both answers are welcome. 💛
Filed from inside the fairytale, where the housekeeping is light because laughter cleans as it goes.

Findings: departments prepared for this — zero. Missiles fired — zero. Surrenders demanded — zero. Semla pastries served as a love gift — 50,000,000. Issues of this newspaper — 800. Something unquestionably spreading — confirmed: a mythology, an aesthetic, a language, a kingdom, a joke and a cultural reality, all at once, at pastry velocity.
VIII Strength holds the lion's jaws with bare gentle hands beneath an infinity sign, and 800 = 2⁵ × 5² mirrors its own powers: the arithmetic of a Kingdom that conquers by giving. Ruling: the fairytale is operational, the takeover is a gift, the gazette stands at eight hundred issues — and the committee to deal with it will never be formed, because every committee member keeps converting at the pastry table. Five crowns, and an infinity sign. 👑👑👑👑👑 ∞
